✅ What is the Exemption?
The Government of Maharashtra has officially declared that transport of certain tree species or parts thereof is exempted from the application of forest transit rules.This means: No permission or transit pass is required from the Forest Department for the movement of these tree species within Maharashtra.

🌿 List of Tree Species Exempted from Transit Regulation:
Tree Name (Common) and Botanical Name1 Ashoka : Polyalthia longifolia
2. Drumstick : Moringa oleifera
3 Sindi Date Palm: Phoenix sylvestris
4 Orange: Citrus aurantium
5 Chikoo / Sapodilla: Achras zapota
6 Indian Tulip Tree:Thespesia populnea
7 Acacia: Acacia manglum
8 Poplar: Populus
These trees can be transported anywhere within the state without needing any forest transit permit.
